The goal of Quiana “Que” Rice, owner and creator of Cooking with Que, was to create a place where vegans and meat eaters could coexist. The mission is to teach people to eat to live; by introducing more plant based meals into everyday living. With hands on demonstrations and living recipes, “The Kitchen” by Cooking with Que satisfies every appetite at the table. The Kitchen, by Cooking with Que, is Detroit’s Premier Demonstration Kitchen & Contemporary Shared Space. The Kitchen is a collaborative kitchen - learning environment. With two state of the art kitchens within the walls, one for live demos & lunch, and the other as a shared-use rental kitchen for other culinary experts worldwide.
The Kitchen, offers an intimate twenty two-seat kitchen classroom, where guests will come to enjoy chef tastings and culinary demonstrations/cooking classes in a contemporary atmosphere, as well as a state of the art shared use commercially licensed kitchen for licensed culinary experts without physical brick and mortar locations. The Kitchen provides a platform for learning, experimentation, menu tasting and private dining events focused on celebrating the art of cooking, drinking, and gathering in The Kitchen with the chef. The Kitchen is the ideal laboratory for learning. Our demonstration kitchen, culinary market, shared-use commercial kitchen, and expert staff are a resource for Metro Detroit’s vibrant and diverse culture of food lovers. This space exists so everyone from the aspiring novice chef to the most decorated master of cuisine can come to share their love and knowledge of food and drink.
